A New Milestone for TEREM-SHIPYARD Flotski Arsenal - VARNA LTD
Today, November 13, 2025, in Varna, we signed a contract for the construction of a New hybrid floating dock FA2505HDD – a project that marks another important step in the development of TEREM – SHIPYARD Flotski Arsenal – Varna Ltd.
The client of the project is Iskra Shipyard Ltd. (Croatia), and TEREM-SHIPYARD is the shipbuilder of this innovative project, designed by Norden Ship Design House – Turkey.
The contract was signed by Mr. Danail Slavov, General Manager of Flotski Arsenal, and Mr. Roko Vuletić, Ph.D., President of the Management Board of Iskra Shipyard Ltd.
The project foresees the construction of an innovative hybrid floating dock 110 Meters Long and with a Lifting Capacity of 4,000 Tons. The dock will be a key element in the future development of Iskra Shipyard’s shipbuilding and repair capabilities, expanding its capacity to service a wide range of vessels, such as yachts longer than 70 meters, and new corvettes to be built for the Croatian Navy.

The floating dock is designed as a concrete pontoon consisting of seven sections, with steel side towers featuring a double hull. This hybrid structure combines the durability and longevity of concrete with the flexibility and functionality of steel superstructures, ensuring high efficiency and optimized maintenance costs.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with commissioning planned for spring 2027.
