Renaming Ceremony - MV Ali Najafov (Ex Bold Pilot)
On 20.05.2022 we honored a tradition of renaming a vessel at the request of our partners from the Palmali Group Of Companies.
Oil tanker 140-meter-long and 17-meter-wide with carrying capacity of 7,000 dwt was repaired in TEREM-SHIPYARD FLOTSKI ARSENAL - VARNA LTD in partnership with Spring Marine Management S.A and launched today.
The vessel was named after Ali Seyran Najafov, who was killed in the Second Karabakh War. Ali Najafov, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, fought in the battles for the liberation of Hadrut and Jabrayil during the Patriotic War, which was fought by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on September 27, 2020 to liberate the territories occupied by Armenia and restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Ali Najafov was killed on October 20 during the Jabrayil battles.
According to the decision of the Board of Palmali Holding, headed by Mubariz Mansimov, the ships belonging to Palmali Holding will be renamed on the names of soldiers who died heroically for their Motherland. The goal is to glorify the names of the soldiers and introduce them to the world.
